SCOTBET’S INNOVATIVE SCHEME TO SUPPORT THE SCOTTISH RACING INDUSTRY

Scotbet featured for the first time in a race-title on Wednesday 14th May at Perth Racecourse, when Scotland’s largest independent bookmaker launched its sponsorship of a new series of races at all five racecourses in Scotland.

In addition to injecting additional prize money into two of the races on the card, Scotbet will be providing a £1,000 bonus to the connections of the first Scottish-trained horse past the post in the Scotbet Handicap Hurdle. The bonus, which will also be applied to races at each of the other four Scottish tracks this year, forms part of a new initiative aimed at promoting racehorse ownership
in Scotland.

The bonus scheme for the first Scottish trained horse to pass the post is designed to highlight the opportunities available to anyone who chooses to place their horse in training in Scotland.”
